text;
it's been almost two months since I showed up. not a lot of time, I know, but I'm finally feeling caged in around here for some reason. maybe it's the heat or something but I feel like I need to go somewhere...but I don't know where that is. and it's not like I can snap my fingers and go on a vacation in the bahamas or anything, either.
wonder if anyone has that kind of power. that'd be cool.
[Oops, off topic.]
sorry, not the point. I was wondering if anyone'd like to go out for drinks or dancing or something. I'm way too antsy in this apartment these days, even with a job.
[Ten minutes later, the message is edited.]
does anyone know how to take care of a cat? a big cat. very big.

Just here. We'll walk around and get some drinks.
[And eventually he'll turn up, wearing some of the clothing she picked out for him as well.]
Dani?
[action]
[Dani's sitting at the fountain, texting on her phone, when he strolls up. She glances his way once, then again when she realizes he's not wearing those mage robes. She jumps up.]
Hey. Thanks for coming out. [She smiles.] Look at you.
no subject
I thought you might like it. [He gives a little turn on the spot.] It looks good, doesn't it?
no subject
[She chuckles.]
Of course, you know you're going to have people hitting on you right and left if they haven't started.
no subject
Do you really think so? Because I've been trying a bit already but I can't say I've had that much luck. I thought maybe it was because things were simpler in the Circle. Not exactly a lot of time for being subtle about liking someone. Not when you never know if someone's going to end up possessed by a demon or cut down by a templar or something.
[And he laughs, because horrible deaths are unfortunately common where he's from.]
no subject
[She shrugs.]
Going out to public places like clubs does help, I think. At least it gets your face out there.
no subject
I suppose that's one way to look at it, although sometimes it feels like just putting a big target on yourself.
no subject
You don't go out alone, do you?
no subject
no subject
[Oh, no, this is a tragedy. She marks that down for another thing she'll need to get him to try.]
It's a hot, bitter drink people have in the mornings to keep them awake, since it has caffeine in it. But you can dress it up, add milk or sugar or chocolate... There are hundreds of ways to fix it up to your liking. I'll bring you some one morning and you can try it out.

[A grin tilted the corners of his lips.] And sugar's a little outside of how much coin I'd usually have. More of a thing for nobles, really.
no subject
Well, sugar's not like that here. You can buy it at the grocery store and it's fairly cheap. I'll bring you over to my apartment sometime and make you some coffee and some other things.
[No missing out for him any longer.]
no subject
[That last part gets a grin and a wink.]
no subject
Be careful what you wish for. I might just have you stay over often.
[And then she remembers and she nearly slaps a palm to her forehead.]
Oh. The cat. I...need to figure out where the cat's going to sleep. And what he's going to eat. Dammit.
no subject
[Anders perks up visibly at the mention of a cat, all traces of flirting temporarily forgotten.]
A cat? You have a cat as well? Ohh~ what's the sweet little kitty like?
no subject
[She smiles a little lopsidedly.]
He's pretty affectionate when he's not being possessive. He can be pretty restless when he's hungry, too.
no subject
What's yours like? Does he have a name?
no subject
[Ugh, her dad would laugh if he could hear her now.]
I've been alternating between calling him Dammit and Snow. He keeps clawing at one of my pillows when I'm not looking. He's all white with some patchy black spots on his stomach.
no subject
[Any minute now he's going to launch into full cooing mode over them, Dani. Be grateful that photos aren't a thing where he's from.]
no subject
[Oh my god, Anders, you sound like a mom talking about having babies. Do you realize this? She laughs.]
Like they're your kids?
no subject
I'd certainly like to meet Dammit Snow, though. [He smiles at her again, utterly charming.] And I'd definitely never say no to spending time with you.
no subject
[Dani laughs. He has such a nice smile.]
Flatterer. Total flatterer.
no subject
And is flattery such a bad thing?
no subject
[Or he might eat him. You never know.]
Can't go wrong with a little flattery, especially not right now.
[She leans on his arm a little. +10 friendship for you, Anders.]
Here, let's find something to do. I don't want you to be bored out of your skull, after all.
