[When the video first flickers on, a pink-haired girl is standing some distance away from it in a small, dark apartment, presumably the starter apartments. In the background, you can hear the roar of a car's engine, but the source is unknown. It's the only noise in the room besides the sound of movement.]

Hello! I'm Utena Tenjou and I'm--well, one of the newcomers.

[Here, Utena starts doing lunges, talking while she does so.]

If anyone on the network has a free sword, please let me know! And while I'm thinking of it, is there a basketball court here? Or a volleyball court? Anything is good, I guess, but it doesn't look like the Baseball diamond is open for business right now!

Right, I grew up at the South Pole.

The cold isn't a problem. You can learn how to live anywhere, really. Just throw on a few extra layers. Heat is way worse, if you ask me.

Electricity is pretty new for us. We had candles and lamps back in my village. The big cities have it, though.

Maybe I think the heat is worse because I grew up in a place where some of the buildings would melt if it got too hot.

It's not always a choice. The poles are the traditional homes of my people- we've been living there for generations. I stayed there to train.

[That was mostly a joke about the melting homes. Mostly.]

I lived with my parents until I was four, then I was moved to a White Lotus compound for training. A little more isolated, but I got to see my family all the time, so it was all right.
