[The NV flickers on to reveal a young lady, her long chestnut hair drawn back to fall richly down her back, violet eyes wide, innocently curious, just before the little device turns in her hands. There’s a dizzying shift to reveal the pitted baseball diamond around her. Her voice, when she speaks, is soft and a little unsure.]

This thing really lets me talk to others?

[Another dizzying flash of the baseball diamond as she tosses it in her hand, snatches the strange thing out of the air with a nimble hand. There’s another blink – right before a sudden smirk curves her lips, her expression both annoyed and confident. Just because she can't see him nearby doesn't mean he isn't around, right? Right.]

Oz! Oy! Answer me you useless manservant! Where the hell did you disappear to this time?! Just because that Chain disappeared doesn’t mean you and Seaweed-head are allowed to, too! If you don’t hurry up and get here, I’m going to kick both your stupid heads it, you hear me?

[He's turning the corner now! He calls out her name, and she should be able to hear it both through the NV and carried across the empty baseball field. Well, her name being 'stupid rabbit'.]

[She's just going to wave at him with one bloodied hand, to catch his attention.]

Over here, Seaweed-head! Took you long enough! And where's Oz?!

[Bleeding blind guy aside, she has priorities.]

He's at home!

[As if he would force Oz to leave the house if he didn't have to! He'll deliver Alice to him after he gets Break somewhere safe. Immediately he drops down to his knees to get a better look at the man, but seeing him breathing, he takes over pressing the cloth to his wound and turns to spare a long glance at Alice.]

Are you all right?

[She watches him for a long moment, glancing between him and Break, then nods slowly.]

Yeah, I think so. Just... They broke the sealing stone, at that mansion. Your brother... brothers... [She shakes her head.]

[He frowns. Of all the places to steal her away from...]

Don't worry, they're not here. Neither is Isla Yura.

[Turning back to Break now. How is he supposed to move this jerk without hurting him too much. Well, he's asleep, maybe he won't even notice.]

[The tension in her shoulders fades with his reassurance at that and a sigh of relief slips past her lips as she sits back on her heels. She watches him, and watches Break, then frowns.]

But Oz is here and he's safe, right? Just how long have you been here - and where is here? Because now that you're here properly, you can tell me, right?

[The hospital isn't too far. If he needs to carry this guy the whole way, it won't take him long. Making sure that his makeshift bandage is secured in place, he slings Break over his shoulders and onto his back before gesturing for Alice to follow him.]

We were all brought here the same way; through a power that works a lot like the Abyss. It bends time and different universes and traps them all together.

[He sighs.]

And before you ask, yes, I've already tried to use Raven to get out. It's useless.

[ Being slung around like that actually elicits a response. ]

Ugggghhh~!

[ Even his moaning sounds ungrateful! ]

[ Oz careens around the corner, skidding on the grass. He promised he'd be there in a hurry, and he was! But even so, he breathes a sigh of relief at the comforting sight of Gil's back. If anyone could do anything, it was certainly Gil. ]

Alice! Gil!

[ he waves as he comes closer, just a little slower then before. ] How is he? [ Whew. That was a workout. And Oz couldn't be frowning more as he puts his hands on his knees, catching his breath and staring. He'd hardly seen Break in a worse condition. How unlike him. ]

...so we're basically stuck in this not-Abyss, abyss.

[Flat look is very flat - and then there's Oz! Like she's going to wait for him to catch his breath properly. Instead she simply ducks under him to force him back up so she can throw her arms around him properly.]

Oz! Are you alright?

[Break's going to be fine - Gilbert's got him now. Her priority is still Oz~]

[He's about to answer her when a very familiar and very unexpected voice sounds behind them. He turns, stares...stares...stares a little more...watches Alice go to greet him -

And then just explodes. Good thing Break is really out right now because the yelling would be enough to wake most people out of a dead sleep.]

OZ WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU SHOULD BE AT HOME IT'S DANGEROUS TO WALK AROUND OUT HERE ALL BY YOURSELF!!!

[ He IGNORES Gil in favor of Alice, his legs fully braced to take her glom and return it. ]

A-Alice! [ he laughs and tries to pull away, just a bit, for the safety of his ears. After her talk just minutes ago of biting... ]

That's what I should be asking. You and Break have been through a lot this time, haven't you?

[ he tries a charming smile and then...

he turns to Gil and sticks his tongue out. Yep. IGNORING YOU. ]

What do you mean 'this time'?

[Oz. Don't make her kick you - she's not ready to let go yet! And don't think that charming smile is going to work, even if it does lighten the weight she's felt on her chest from the time she'd arrived in this strange place.

Instead, she just tightens her grip on Oz, then half-turns to glare at Gilbert.]

And if it's so dangerous, why'd you leave him alone, idiot Seaweed-head?!

[Young master why ;A;]

It's not dangerous at home you stupid rabbit!

[He readjusts Break on his shoulders; there really isn't time for this.]

[ but he likes getting kicked :( And yeah, why did you leave him home alone, Gil! That's hardly an excuse. ]

[ Oz laughs softly, squeezing Alice's hand as soon as he finds it ] Don't mind Gil. Break just has him worried! [ and then concern covers Oz's voice as he leans in close. ] He doesn't look too good... We should hurry.

[ aka, get your butt moving! Gil can scold Oz later. ]

Fine. But you're going to tell me more later - and I'm the one that told you to hurry first!

[She'll just reach out to catch Oz's sleeve in a tight grip and wave in the direction they'd come from.]

Well? Let's go!

[He doesn't want to split them up like this, but he'll have no choice with Break in this condition.

Ugh!]

Hurry up and get her home, I'll be back soon.

[It's only a small lie; he has no idea how long it'll take to get Break admitted, and after that he won't leave right away. He won't be able to, he already knows.]

Be careful! And call me the moment that you get home! Don't dawdle around the city! Don't talk to any strangers on the way there! And - just don't let her out of your sight!

[Just a little overprotective.]

[ ... overprotective, Oz's ass! There's something there Gil definitely doesn't want oz to know about. Perhaps something only Break could say? But... ]

Okay, Gil! But if you're not home in an hour I'm coming out to find you.

[ he covers Alice's hand in one of his own, tugging. ] Let's get home before Gil starts to worry. You have to say hello to Ciel Phantomhive too! He's the one who owns the mansion and took Gilbert in when he was useless.

[ mmhmmm. Oz will play along for now. And who knows what he'll get out of Alice after they're left alone... ]

To who? [Blinking up at Oz, she allows herself to get pulled along despite her own weariness - though she does give Gilbert another glare just for good measure. Her belly gives a rather loud grumble as they start away and she sighs.]

I don't care if I have to deal with Duke Hair again, if that means I'll get to eat something and go to sleep! How far is it?

[He spares the two of them one last final look before turning and running for the hospital, Break attached to his back. God this is depressing, just like the last time.]

[ but at least there will be an Oz at home to cheer him up! Or plant a foot into his face. He's debating on which is better still. ]

Ciel Phantomhive! He's a bit like Rufus Barma except he flusters easily and he doesn't bounce around as much. [ relatively. Ciel is still a kid after all! ] And he loves his sweets like Break so there will never a shortage of meat. [ he doesn't mention how long it's going to take. That entirely depends on the lights. ]
