[There's a shift on the bed as he feels along the mattress for his phone, hearing the other's voice. He recognized it, at least. They'd spoken far too much for him not to. Shaky fingers come into view as he grasps it, and holds it up. Obviously he can't see what he's doing, so for the moment the screen is skewed to view not the whole of his face, but rather only half of it. It's the good half, but he looks very, very wane, and ashen.
He doesn't respond immediately, blinking a little when the image of the phone comes into his mind for a split second before fading again to black.
