This weekend is Father's Day, isn't it?

Kurt's dad is amazing. He's the type of father everyone wishes they had. He's strong and caring but he won't let you get away with being an idiot either. He really centers everyone around him and guides them into remembering what's really important. He and Kurt have a relationship that really blows me away every time I see them together. They've accomplished something amazing together.



(I'm sorry if talking about him makes you upset, Kurt. We'll do something to celebrate together okay?)



It's weird because I should be missing my own father back home but right now I can't stop thinking about someone a lot of us have lost recently. I feel like I'd give anything if I could just give him a corny tie or printed coffee mug. Even if he really wasn't my dad. He took care of me.

I miss him.


I think it's good to remember people though. If you have your father or father-figure still here with you, let's celebrate him. If yours is back home or has passed away, let's remember him. And for those of you who are dads or dad-like, Happy Father's Day.

Yeah? I really hope he does. If he needs anything, let me know? We can make things work. Even if it's something like having more nutritious food in the fridge. Or a stage. Maybe not a stage, but anything. I know how important this is.

Ah-- I've been okay! I've had a lot of time to get some sleep. I think I've just been eating and sleeping, lately. Everyone who worked overtime have a lot of breaks, now.

It's really hard for me to imagine. But I guess I wouldn't really know much about that kind of stuff.

You don't get along with with your father?

He's okay. He's not as progressive.

That's good. It was pretty crazy. I'm glad you have a break now.

Ahaha, yes! I'm glad to have a break, too. Now I can... figure out some of my personal life stuff. I haven't really been able to think about it till now.

We just need our own space. I mean, it would be great to live with you but he'll need a sanctuary to get away from all of the guys around all of the time. I think if we got a room together, our own bathroom, maybe? Something like that?

I don't know. I don't want anything else to come between us. I won't let it.

But... [Sigh.] I'd be lying if I said I didn't want this.

I want you to have all of the things you want.

I know. Thank you. I'm just... I don't know.

[He huffs, pouting, and lies against Blaine quietly for a while. Minutes pass until he seems to abruptly come to his decision, crawling off of Blaine and sitting up on his legs.]

Okay. I'll take it, but--but if at any moment it comes between you and I, I'll quit. I swear it. I'll walk right out. Okay?

[Blaine sits up, supporting his body on his arm behind him.] It won't. We won't let it.

[showbizpanache]

I know. But I'm promising anyway. [He wrings his hands together.] Okay?

[mediumdrip]

Okay. I promise too, like I said. This is going to be a partnership, okay? We both have to do our parts.

[showbizpanache]

Right. Okay.

[He laughs, brushing a hand through his hair nervously.] Sorry for spazzing. I always go to the spazzing place, don't I?

[mediumdrip]

I like your spazzing place. [Blaine says, smiling]

[showbizpanache]

[He shifts and lies back down, the air from the fan on the bedside table gently tickling his back.]

Mr. Creed gave me until Tuesday to decide. I'll think it over a little bit more and call him then. [He looks at Blaine seriously.] I just want you to know that I'm serious about us. I want us to...to be together for a long time, you know?

[mediumdrip]

[Blaine shifts and hold up his hand to take Kurt's.]

I want to be with you for the rest of my life.

[showbizpanache]

[For some reason that makes Kurt's stomach do a back flip and land somewhere in his throat.]

R-really?

[mediumdrip]

Yes.

You mean the world to me.

[showbizpanache]

[They threw these words around so often before they came here. You're the love of my life. Let's be together forever. God, how many times had Kurt playfully started sentences with 'When we get married...'?

It's all different now. They're adults now; the Port made it that way. So that makes Blaine's words so much more meaningful. It isn't just kid talk anymore.]

[Kurt isn't sure how to handle it, so he just sort of laughs in a self-deprecating sort of way.] Even though I'm a spazz and a control freak and a huge nag?

Not even though, because of. I love you. All of you. I love how perfectly imperfect you are. [He grins and reaches up to touch Kurt's face.] Stop blaming yourself for what happened between us. We'll be able to do this if we leave behind all of that guilt.
