[ The feed is on, because once again, Ella's forgotten about it. Really she had planned on doing something, presumably checking posts on the network, but when she got up to walk away, Lucifurr opted to walk across the book, turning on the record function. The cat is visible just in the corner of the the feed, being petted by Meg, but Hattie and Ella can be heard bickering - though Ella sounds more exasperated than angry. Meg, when she notices the NV, just -grins- when she sees the device is recording. ]

"Oh for goodness sakes, when are you going to understand - it's not -like- that! He's just my tutor."

"No, Ella, it's you that doesn't understand! How many times do I have to tell you that I'm tired of your shameless flirting with a man I have my eyes on!

"Shameless fl--ergh! You said the same thing about Byakuya, trust me, they're -NOT- my type."


[ Hattie only mimics Ella's response. ]

"'They're not my type', 'they're not my type'. Then why do you keep doing it?"

"Look, if you're so interested, by all means, court him! I couldn't care less!"


"Really. Well judging by your willingness to spend kissy alone time with him at any given opportunity seems to suggest otherwise."

"There IS no ki-- Hattie, we just talk - and by talk I actually MEAN talk-!"

"Ella. Ella, all right, let me make this simple for you to understand. Now: Explain to me how you decided that having my, I repeat my date as your tutor was a brilliant idea. You have twenty seconds."

[ Before she THROWS DOWN! Ella just presses her hands against her face, fuming. Meg is clearly amused by the bickering and offers no help whatsoever in noting that the device is recording. ]

...But I doubt Ella wouldst do so to thee. There art o're a dozen male newcomers of marriageable age in the port! Thou should stroll among the garden of them without worry about contracts or commitments.

I'm supposed to be married by now.. But I suppose with the way time works here that could be all right.. I guess.

La, as am I, Hattie - art three years thy elder and still I remain a bachelorette. With no fathers to arrange matches for us, we are left on our own accord - if we walk with pride, then we do no harm.
