There have been a few aliens from my home dimension here, actually. And these types of things are fairly common back home.

I'm sure there are a lot of different aliens here. But to just assume automatically an alien did it, that it wasn't a hoax of some kind or some other force it's silly. It could have been anything. And obviously whatever did it wanted attention. So running along to investigate it just feeds in to it all.

I do believe we're fairly shielded from outside viewing. If the general population - or even simply the general military population - knew of this island, it would not be occasional peaceful trade, but full scale war. More so with those this island holds.
