Given the rather interesting little bit of art that appeared overnight, I was thinking of getting a group of experts together to go and see what's what.
So, if any of you lot are exp- well, probably not experts. More likely aficionados, given this melting pot of realities - of extraterrestrial sightings, history, or any sort of symbology, really, give me a bit of an example of your work.
[... He's way too excited about this crop circle jellyfish thing, okay]
Ooooh its been ages since I've had something right up my alley. Ha!
Private to the Eleventh Doctor/the TARDIS
Fancy a bit of an adventure? Nothing much ever comes of crop circles, but those magnetic spheres they found seem... promising.
Private to Jack/Rose/Amy
Nothing like a bit of farm art to get back into the spirit of things, hm? [AKA: hi. You're companions. You have no choice but to tag along with him on this silly adventure]
Private to Edriss/Washu
Where you two are from, how often do crop circles actually turn out to mean anything?
Private to Jubilee/Mary/Sheldon
Interested in seeing a proper alien adventure? No little blue box, mind, but she'll probably be there, too.

[Anders looks more than a little doubtful for a long moment and then he snorts and laughs softly.]
It seems impossible to me, but then so does being dragged to a city filled with things I've never even imagined before. [He grins.] So does 'man from the stars' have a name?
[He just grins, and gives a small wave]
The Doctor. Just the Doctor. Not to be confused with the other Doctor.
[The name, if that's what it is, is really quite odd.]
Which other doctor? I've met quite a few since I arrived here. I work with several of them as well!
[He's simply... an odd person. Er. Alien.]
Well... there's only two of us who are The Doctor. This other bloke... you'd know him if you saw him. Floppy hair, bow legs, wears bow ties for some reason...
[Odd descriptions and bow ties aside, there's one thing that doesn't quite add up with the Doctor's explanation.]
How can you both be The Doctor if there's two of you? Doesn't the 'The' make it sound like you're unique and special?
Just wait. He'll make it a goal of his to reference as many Disney movies as possible.]
We both are. Unique and special, I mean. We're... well, we're the same person, actually. From two different points in our time stream. Both the Doctor, only he's a bit older. Younger. And I'm younger-older.
And quite a bit more charming. [G R I N]
You mean, there can be other versions of yourself just... wandering around here? Doesn't that seem a bit, well, strange to you? I don't think I'd much like there to be other Anders walking around talking to people. It's strange enough finding out that someone I met here knows me in the future.
[Although he can't help but laugh at the Doctor's comment about it all. It's easier not to find it all too disturbing when someone as, yes, charming as that is taking it all in stride.]
Hah, well, maybe I'll have to meet him and decide that one for myself.
Ah no, probably not. We're sort of a special case, him and me. Me and him. Me and... well, me, really. I've worked with myself before, back home. Sometimes three or five of me looped on over ourselves. Had to do an interrogation once with ten mes running around, borrowing each other's ships.
It also helps that we're... not really the same anymore. We look, sound, and act... well, like completely different people, really. [He's rubbing at his chin, thoughtfully]
Hah. Trust me, you'll know him when you see him. Can't keep our name out of a new conversation for longer than a minute. So you'll know him.
[Annnd the smile is just a shade more friendly than it probably necessary.] More charming and better looking as well?
Been called everything from cheeky to foxy.
[And he seems to be proud of that fact]
[Actually, this sounds like something that might be better discussed face to face, especially if the Doctor is going to talk about how foxy he is and practically invite a little harmless (though potentially worthwhile, if he's lucky) flirting.]
Hmm, though perhaps if you're planning to go and take a look at those strange patterns, it might be better for us to speak more later, yes? Somewhere more private and relaxed?
[Oh it very much is. Too bad this Doctor hasn't even realized he's accidentally flirting with someone who is very much doing the same back...]
If you want, I have an apartment. Not that big, but pretty quiet. Well, besides Jack. But he's harmless. Well, unless you count uncontrollable flirting as a form of harm...
Besides, by the sound of it, he can have a much nicer time discussing such things in person with the foxy Time Lord. His smile only widens at the idea of the Doctor's uncontrollable flirt of a friend.]
I certainly have no problems with that sort of thing, that's for certain. So, shall I stop by some time? We can discuss this and other things in as much detail as you fancy then.
[His look becomes a bit more fond at the talk of Jack. As much as the Captain grates on his nerves, he's always been a true companion]
Any time! Someone's usually up, no matter the hour, and if you need a quick escape from the Darkness, just pop on in.
I'll be certain to stop by with some questions and perhaps something to drink, if you like. Where are you staying, then? In the Newcomer building?
[And with a far too friendly smile and a wink, Anders ends his feed.]
[[ooc: did you want to do a log/continue things here/idk?]]
But he should probably get up and tell Jack someone might be stopping by soon. Rose works during the day while her freeloading friends wander about, so she won't be bothered by it.]
[ooc: HM. A log might be fun! We could get Jack in on the hilarity, if you wanted?]
