Final flight - Video
[ This is an automated message, sent out 24 hours after the pings to Superman's NV from the Batcave cease functioning. ]
Some of you know me, many of you do not, but I, like any other Newcomer, was pulled here from my own world to Siren's Port. For almost a year I've worked with the hero community to protect and serve, to provide help, comfort and rescue for those who've needed it, to be strong in the most desperate of times.
You are hearing this message because the Core has finally sent me home. In my time here, I've seen so much strength and compassion in my fellow Newcomers, a capability to band together even in the most difficult of circumstances. You have been my friends and my allies, and many of you I care for as if you were family.
I believe in you. I believe that together you are capable of surmounting any odds. To those of you who feel displaced I have this advice: Make this your home, find companionship among those who share your experiences, if only because you are all in this together. You might be here for days, you might be here for years, but don't waste the opportunity to connect with people. Don't alienate yourself to a life of loneliness.
For now - unless I am returned - this will be my last message. Take care of each other, hold together and be strong. Remember that you are all capable of great heroism, of being super.
[ He salutes. ]
Superman out.
-------
Private to Carrie
Carrie,
You were always my favourite of Bruce's children. We've flown together, fought together, and you almost as much as Bruce have known how hard it has been to become Superman and follow in the footsteps made by the Superman in your world, your timeline.
You sewed my first costume for me, and I've never felt as proud - or as ridiculous - as I did putting it on for the first time. I wish I could take these memories home with me--I've grown so much, and I feel like I've found myself, settled into who I am, who I'm supposed to be. I can only hope that at home I find the same kind of comfort.
Take care of yourself, little bird.
-------
Private to Tim
Tim,
Ever since I met you I've known that you were the most eligible of Bruce's sons to take on his responsibilities. You're incredibly intelligent, a good leader, warm and kind and most of all serious about what you do, and I have been nothing if not impressed every time we've spent time together. Watching you with your Titans has been a joy, and if I could take one thing home of my experiences with you those would be the ones I wanted to take--I feel like you've taught me things about leadership.
I know that you're more than capable of keeping the order here, and hopefully your team can blossom and grow to fill the hole that Bruce and I have left behind, if such a thing even exists. Whether you take on the cowl or not is your choice. In all fairness it might be time to put it to rest, but I know that I can rely on you to make that decision. Keep an eye on the Joker, he's as much a danger to himself as he is to other people.
As for the problems we spoke about a few months ago, stay strong. Try and find help if you can; at the very least you don't have to struggle with this alone. Keep Connor close.
Take care of yourself, and the rest will follow. And good luck.
-------
Private to Connor
Connor,
We didn't get to speak nearly as often as I'd have liked to. I wish I had time to hear your stories; what you've done, where you've been, about the times you've saved the world. I think it's only fair that I tell you something now that I should have talked to you about before, because I won't have the opportunity to again.
You, Connor, are so much more like me than you realise. I was just like you when I was your age, struggling with my developing abilities, but knowing more than anything that I'd been given my powers for a reason, that I couldn't afford to be idle. The Kents are the best family that anyone could ever have. You're a part of me, true, but you're a part of Lex too. I never had much opportunity to tell you about the Lex I knew, a Lex who was my friend, who was only guided down the wrong path by the circumstances in which he grew up.
Had Lex been raised by the Kents, I have no doubt that he'd have come to be a wonderful man, a great, benevolent spirit in the world. His selfishness and his pride, his arrogance, were never things that he was born with, and there is nothing to be ashamed of in regard to sharing his DNA. For years Lex was my closest friend, and he would have done anything for me. It fell apart somewhere down the line, and the trust between us crumbled.
You have the best of both of us, Connor. The strength of our Kryptonian heritage, and Lex's humanity. The best of both worlds. You have a great potential, and wonderful spirit, and I know that anything you put your mind to you can achieve. Please lend that strength to Tim, and if you could, I'd appreciate it if you would check in on Lois now and again. She needs to be kept safe when I'm not there to take care of her. Remember, she has a habit of getting herself into trouble when you least expect it--that's just Lois. She might try to go after the Joker again. I'm not going to tell you to stop her - she's tenacious, and it's probably impossible - but just...look after her. I only wish I was there to do it myself.

Private to Lois
Lois,
I can't tell you how sorry I am that you're hearing this message. It means that the Core has chosen to send me back before you, and I can't even imagine how hard that's going to be on you. First thing's first, for your own protection you'll have to pretend that I'm still with you - at least, that Clark is still there. To that end I've left a message calling in sick to work--I hope that gives you something to work with.
I wish I could be there for you. We were making a home together, we were going to get married, we even have our own family of sorts here. With you at my side - despite our ups and downs - I feel like I've found myself and who I'm supposed to be. I am so happy. This is all I've ever wanted out of life, and if I can find the same thing at home, the way that Bruce always insisted that it could be, then I know that our future together will continue to be rich and wonderful. I couldn't wish for anything more.
Please take care of yourself. I know there's no point urging you to stay out of trouble, but remember to call for help if you need it. The only thing that makes leaving any easier is knowing that we'll find each other. No matter where we are, we're always together.
I love you, and I'll be seeing you soon.
