[ Amy thinks it's about time (no pun intended) one of the many time travellers had something to say about this timey wimey nonsense, which actually almost feels normal for her -- but that's not the point. ]
Couldn't find a better day to repeat itself, could it? 'Cos if I hear the words 'Groundhog Day' one more time, I'm going to scream. And the apartments are never going to get fixed at this rate.
[ Not that anyone can see it, her hand tightens around her sonic out of frustration, but it reminds her what the whole point of making this post was. And it wasn't to rant. Even though it's tempting. ]
I'm gabbling. Anyway, the last time this happened to me I was about to be lost in the time vortex forever, and there was a crashed spaceship and a dead alien causing it. We haven't got any of those, right? [ she's joking, but her tone is absolutely deadpanned serious. because honestly, she wouldn't be surprised at all. ] Alright, so, it means we've got to find a way to break the time loop. There's something that is keeping this day from moving on to the next. I don't think it's the Core exactly, but maybe it needs something else fixed. Something to do with us, if we're the only ones noticing it.
[ then as a side note: ] Right, Doctor? TARDIS? You better back me up on this one.

So if it isn't beasts in-- in, in-- [He waggles his fingers inclusively.] --in spaceships. Are you breaking or are you fixing?
[ a spaceship might be another deal, but she's not getting into that. she just raises a brow at him. ] I'm not breaking anything. I'm trying to fix, 'course.

Right. I did say that. Breaking the time loop we're in. You know, how this day keeps repeating itself. But I bet you could. You're an expert pirate, aren't you?
But I have also cheated death and marooning and all manner of things, so if it's a crew that you're needing to sort out this bit of madness--Captain Jack Sparrow, at your service. [A beat.] Only not actually at it. I am a captain.
[ But then, 'cheating death.' She's interested in his story now. ] What manner of things exactly? Anything unusual?
Captain. [ she makes a point of tacking that on. ]
As I said. All manner of things. Krakens. Ghostly ships. The Locker. Undead enemies. Really terrible food in mildly terrible prisons. Savage cannibals. Lack of rum. Death.
Unusual things, madam, loom large in my legend.
Wow. That much, eh? Bit impressive. [ Who knew pirates even had encounters with monsters and zombies. She really shouldn't be so surprised when she's run into aliens all over the past. ] Well, unusual things loom large in my legend as well.
[ If she had a legend. She likes the sound of it either way. ]
I'll have to keep you in mind then. Err, I mean, if I find out there's breaking and what not to do.
