[For those who haven't discovered, Elliot has actually returned back to Siren's Port. It's like a dream come true...

...but not really. He doesn't look particularly happy, either. "What's new", right? Well. The Network is getting a very frustrated chewing out.]
Let's get one thing straight. The last few days has been the second the entire time and people are okay with this?! This is ridiculous!

Complete and utter stupidity! What part of this is okay with the other people here in the Port?! Has everyone gone crazy?! Because it seems that way to me!

[A groan; he started gritting his teeth before continuing.] If this keeps on conitnuing, I swear... Everyone will end up paying for it!

[Then the feed ended--He's not going back outside until all this nonsense ends. It's creepy, alright? So he'll stay in the library where it's safe. Fuck the police.]

[Snake looks, honestly, a little surprised- it flashes to concern.]

Elliot... [But he keeps his distance all the same. For the few weeks or so he's been little more than Elliot's shadow. Everything has been changing, shifting back and forth, contradicting the things he's established for himself. Joker, who had vanished never to return, is back; Elliot, who had always been there, vanished; and Ciel, who had always been soft and accepting, had said things that still burn in the back of his mind.

So many ripples in Snake's life, and he's left rather paralyzed. Left in a haze from the shock, he's done very little outside of the bare needs.

Turning on his heels, he stares for a moment at the bookshelf. He just put these books away yesterday, and they'd appeared under his side of Elliot's bed overnight. But somehow, he doesn't seem all that upset. It's practice. The snake around Elliot's leg winds up to sit on his knee, hissing and yawning toward him, flashing fangs.]

'You're a foolish young human,' says Keats.

'Yes foo-' [Snake's mouth turns into a frown, his eyes hardening at Keats. The snake hisses at him, spitting and slithering away. Once the reptile passes through the open door, Snake returns his attention to Elliot. Once again, he's cold, his eyes surprisingly harsh for the normally timid and reclusive circus freak.

Keats is the most temperamental of the snakes.]
It will end one day. [His voice is firm, convinced. It's been rare in the past that Snake has shown his strength to Elliot.]
