[She's got her head bowed, shoulders rising and falling as if she's panting. Her hair is black, with red and silver streaks in it. The wall behind her is utterly blank.

Her harsh panting comes over the audio. Jubilee has been working. The video trembles for a moment and then she raises her head.

Blue eyes are seen through stringy hair. Sweat streaks her face.

And her eyes... her eyes aren't normal. They're flat, dead, exhausted...]

Dr. Michael Xavier is dead.

[The video cuts out, with the NV being hurled across a room.]

[OOC: Jubilee has locked herself in the Danger Room. And then locked the Danger Room down so no one can get in except herself, Emma and Magneto. She's also wearing void cuffs, because... yeah. She's surging and can't be around people.

To the people in her condo: Her phone went off at about 3am, right as she got to bed and then she just left. No one saw her again until this post.

My point. I don't think anyone has.

[Crowley's eyes are narrowed.]

He has two of the most powerful beings in the Port at his disposal. Beings that have said that they would protect him -- and Lucifer, at his core, doesn't lie. Add that to the fact that the angels can hear prayer instantaneously and you know that cowardly piece of shit would be praying to his heart's content for his blessed Saint Michael to whisk him away on the wings of angels. Add that to this overly dramatic sobstory of how this poor lost little girl lost her grandfather to garner attention and support -- please. This has more crocodile tears than an episode of Maury.

Oh, and let's not forget the spontaneous outbreak of fire at a scientific warehouse owned by a corporation that has more money than God and more influence than Oprah? Don't they have fail safes in place against such things, to protect their investment? Fires don't just happen in places with millions of dollars of equipment and research, especially not in a city that thrives off of their discovery. And coming from someone who has had warehouses full of moderately illegal things, I never left them unguarded and open to destruction.

[Everyone has a fail safe. His was Castiel. SERO, surely, had them too.]

...Do I really need to tell you it wasn't an accident? You're right. It's not exactly that hard to figure out.

I haven't seen a body, but I did hear part of the story. It's not much, though, and I can't help you with the Magneto question. As far as I know, he really is dead.

So it wasn't an accident. That still doesn't answer how it started or why Magneto didn't call for help.

He did. There were too many Voids- you're right, they do have failsafes and protections on their shit, and he went in and destroyed a crapload of it. By the time Michael got there...

[He supposes that makes sense, but something still isn't adding up. Crowley had been Voided by Magneto but he still had the ability to call for help. He had simply chose not to. Did Magneto not call for help on purpose, as Crowley did, in order to protect whoever could answer? Or was this an elaborate ruse?

Was Crowley just being paranoid because he couldn't trust a word out of anyone's mouth or was he actually onto something?

-- no. His sense of intuition was bar to none. Something was wrong. He just hadn't found it yet.]

How did Michael know to arrive if Magneto didn't pray for him, then? Did he honestly wait until he was completely Voided, when the enemy was at their strength? That would only risk the lives of the angels more. Why not call for them before, when he was ambushed? They would have arrive instantaneously.

Actually, I think he did pray. As far as I've heard, they were in there for some other reason and things went wrong, so since there were Voids everywhere, it- I didn't exactly want the gory details, but I imagine it escalated really, really fast.

Especially when he started destroying things.

Uh- by the way. I can't really... it's probably a really bad idea for me to tell you exactly why, but you should be really glad he did. Michael doesn't bust out fire and brimstone for nothing.

[Crowley is silent, for a long moment. Being Voided. It's not a fun experience.]

Perhaps the corporation sliced him upon before he croaked.

[He cringes a little at that mental image.]

Ugh, maybe.

Honestly, painting it as an accident is a good thing- I mean, it could get really out of hand if everyone knew the truth.

What I know is this: Gabriel was nabbed by them a really, really long time ago- before I got here.

Magneto went in there for some other reason, I don't know, and he found mutant engineered angel things. He destroyed everything they had, shit went down, he prayed, and even more shit went down. He prayed to Michael what was going on and that's how Michael learned enough to get that angry.

He didn't leave the building standing. There's nothing left.

[The demon is silent, for a long moment, before he looks irritated.

Castiel and I were planning on infiltrating each respective corporation in order to discover more.

[It doesn't need to be said that Castiel is no longer going to be investigating SERO, if they want to engineer angels in tubes.]

That's a really bad idea. Get someone human to go into SERO.

I don't know if you've noticed, but humans tend to dislike me, and the majority of my social circle consists of fallen angels, god figures, and an Anti-Christ.

You have to know someone.

I know hundreds of people.

I only trust three or four.

And none of them are human, are they?

I haven't had the best luck with the supposed best and brightest of humanity.

I'm not really the best representative. I think getting a "no offense" is the best anyone can do.
