[ Like why in the he-ck she was cooperating with Hattie's stupid business and ignoring her duties to her actual job. She KNOWS Hattie is deliberatly picking clients who want the same timeslot she's supposed to work for him. ]

Oh this is going to bother me all day, heh. I guess I could write down a list of- [ She glances at her calendar briefly, then pauses and looks again. ]

[ Awkward pause, and then a laugh. ]

Well that's one mystery solved. [ She's ... just going to turn her feed off now. Eesh. ]

I like that idea. How have you been lately, by the way? Your brothers are all okay?

[She is. Ella is one of the few that Michael genuinely likes. The angel will just continue taking up space on his couch while she goes to get ready.]

I've been well. And they're as okay as squabbling siblings can be.

[ Well the feeling is mutual. And chuckling a bit at that. ]

I have to admit, I'm a little envious of you, Michael. I'm an only child so I don't know what it's like to have siblings.

Oh, you say that now, but you'd miss them. They're family.

[He seems to think seriously about this for a minute.]

I think you could take a few off my hands and I'd be all right with it. [Jokingly, because Michael really doesn't want to lose anymore siblings. If he gave them all away then yeah, he'd be lonely.]

[ Pff, she grins at that. ]

Well, how about instead of taking them off your hands, I can help you if need anything. Like if you need a place to rest or some free lunches for picnic outings, I can manage that much to start.
Although - I don't know how good my sisterly advice would be for them though - I mean, Hattie certainly doesn't listen to me.

[ No she has to be sneaky about it if she wants her stepsister to listen. ]

That...would be nice. [God knows Michael could use some advice even if he has plenty of ways to rest and they don't need to eat.] I'm afraid we're a long way from having family picnics together though.

[ Well that will save her on chicken sandwiches at least? ]

That rough, huh? Well, you can only take it one tiny step at a time. Trying to rush something as important as a familial relationship is only bound to backfire, eventually.
