- Youth Violence Causes Trouble on the Midtown Tracks
There is a brief article on escalating violence reported in the Underground Mall Station, mostly between affiliated AGI and SERO youth. Artie Pembroker, Chief of Mall Security, has noted that ‘adolescent rivalry’ has an unmistakable flavor of gang activity, and that because the station itself is controlled by the transit department, he can’t intervene until the fights make their way into the Mall plaza proper.
However, things are beginning to get heated as an AGI-executive’s son and his friend pushed a popular SERO inventor’s child onto the tracks yesterday afternoon, with onlookers alerting transit officials just in time to stop an inbound train from crushing the boy.
"Hopefully this close call will put an end to it," Pembroker says, while managing to not sound so convincing.
- ZIPS Arcade is introducing a new ‘hands-free’ arena dodgeball game later this month, using equipment which they claim can unlock the untapped power of telekinesis in anyone! For its debut, they plan to air a televised match between naturally born telekinetics against a new squad trained for a week using SERO’s new telekinetic headband technology. ZIPZ will provide a free pizza party for each team in the Blacklite Lounge, printed team t-shirts, and 500 game credits to each team member in addition to trophies for the champions.
