[A long, annoyed sigh. Lisbeth doesn't really like to apologize - hell, some would even say it's not in her vocabulary. But from what she experienced in the past week, there were a few people she cared about enough to apologize to for her unbridled behavior.]

[ He's so deadpan that it almost comes off as his being serious. ]

We've got something of a past of trying to off each other. I had hoped he was gone for good, but apparently no such luck.

[She snorts.]

Join the club. Wishing him dead is a national past time on the island.

[ He's yet to figure out that everyone has powers here, so he'll be intentionally cagey. ]

Mind filling me in on what he's been up to?

I've only been here for two months so I don't know what he's done in his long stay here, but most recently he's nearly decapitated my friend, has control over some little bitch named Peter, and something about Claire. She's gone home though.

Ask about him on the Network, though. I'm sure people can tell you loads more.

[ Okay so there's a lot to take in there, but it doesn't stop him by being very fast to move to Peter's defense. ]

Easy. That's my brother you're talking about.

[Oh well that's embarrassing.]

Hm, well, he's got him wrapped around his finger pretty tightly. Best to rescue him before he falls further down the rabbit hole.

[ More embarrassing for Nathan really. Probably. There's a lot of things that are going to horrify him and the least known about them yet the safer for his sanity. But he's also going to take it with a pinch of salt until he hears otherwise, he owes him that much.

Still; Peter, what have you gotten yourself mixed up with this time? ]

I'll do that. How much did I miss Claire by?

[A simple shrug.]

Two weeks, maybe.

[ And his nod is equal to nothing, too. ]

Probably not such a bad thing. Don't think I caught your name?

[There's an amused expression on her face before she once again turns serious.]

[ He raises both of his hands in quiet surrender. ]

Listen, we're both on the same side, here. Sylar bad, right?

Doesn't mean you might not have some skeletons in your closet. Like you said, you're a politician.

[But maybe Irene would get along better with Mr. Petrelli.]

Doesn't everyone? People do things that they aren't proud of every day. With me, the only difference is that my skeletons are all turned out in a suit and tie.

[Well, that last part was charming, but she doesn't show any reaction to it. She merely tilts her head.]

That's very true. It seems to be a common thing among all of us here.

Common thing among people in general. My wife-- [Ex-wife. ] --she's a saint, wouldn't say a bad word about anyone. Her skeletons are mostly chocolate covered, but she's still not proud of them.

[ He's just effortlessly charming, okay. ]

In any case, I'll see what I can do about your Sylar problem. Figure I bear a little of the responsibility there.

[A pause.]

I have a friend who's a little warmer than me. If she trusts you, then so will I.

Does this friend have a name?
