013 } video
[ Peter rarely makes posts to the network with such express purpose, but when he shows up on the feed this time, he looks prepared. Like he's got a message. And he only glances off camera once, before he starts. ]
You know, been here almost a year and a half now. Place definitely takes a toll on a person after awhile. Especially when things at home don't exactly make it any easier to deal with the kind of things that go on here. If you let it, everything just kind of.. falls apart. [ He shrugs, grasping a little for the right words. Public speaking isn't his strong suit. ]
Doesn't mean it has to, though. I know more than a few people here have made allegiances with people they never would've thought to. Whatever gets you through, right? Makes it easier, helps keep you going? Didn't actually think i'd end up happy in this place, not after everything that's happened.
[ This time, when he looks off camera again, he lets his NV turn ... to an expectant Sylar, his dark gaze fixed on the device. He smiles, wryly, as though to say 'surprise'. ]
Makes a lot of sense, when you think about it. The people who remind you of home, who understand what it's like to be you better than anyone else does; you can't really pick and choose who those people are. Adversity makes strange bedfellows.
[ He quirks an offscreen glance toward Peter. ]
Everyone deserves a little happiness in their lives, don't you think? Someone to love. Something you'd kill to protect. [ He reaches out suddenly, viper-quick, pulling Peter back into view of the NV by dragging him into his lap, and surprising a smile out of him in the process. Sylar presses his nose into Peter's neck, buries his nose briefly into hair that has grown back mysteriously quickly, and then looks back at the screen mockingly. ]
Like this smile. Isn't it adorable? A man could kill for a smile like this.
[ But before Sylar can embarrass them both any further, Peter's fumbling for his NV and trying not to smile so much as he turns off the feed. ]
[ ooc; blue is Peter; red is Sylar. threadjacking is encouraged! ]

[Voice]
Well, announcing it to the network? Seems a bit public.
[Voice]
Thought i'd get it over with in one go. Got tired of lying to everyone.
[Voice]
Why the lie? Beyond the obvious.
[Voice]
[Voice]
Medea, give me the phone back.
[More rustling as she gets the phone back.]
You hold things too close, Peter. And don't use the ears that you've got free access.
[Meaning, that she didn't know, or she would've hounded him more.]
[Voice]
Yeah, I know.
[Voice]-[video]-[voice]
[Scramble, grab at the phone, turn on video function. Have a nice view of the bottom parts of her breasts and that tattoo (see icon), before the voice function starts on again.]
Aphrodite! Medea! Out! Both of you!
[Huffed out sigh.]
As I was saying. You should talk to those who have an open fridge policy.
[voice]
Pretty sure if I walk out on the street now there's gonna be problems.
[voice]
That's a choice, Peter. One you made. But my door is open. I've done some pretty screwed up things in my life and friends always welcomed me back. The same goes for you.
[voice]
Seriously?
[ He can teleport anyway. Who needs walking. ]
[voice]
[Loud amounts of purring over the phone because cats are loud.]
I'd spend a lot more nights alone... well, back home, anyway.
[voice]
Then i'll come raid your fridge more often.
[voice]
I'll make sure there's stuff to raid.
[voice]
I'll stop with the lying. I promise. [ He might even sound kind of wibbly. Despite the bravado, this is still hard for him. ]
[voice]

[voice]
There's brownies in the fridge now. But, I think Gabe put a hold on them.
[Yawn, frustrated grumbling from cats.]
But, I might be persuaded to bake a pie tomorrow... Maybe.
[Now, she's teasing.]
[voice]
Maybe?
[voice]
[Oh so teasing. SO TEASING.]
Maybe.
[voice]
[ Snort. ] Maybe I can take.
[voice]

[voice]
So long as he has friends left, people to listen without judging, then whether or not they approve doesn't matter.
[ This is his way of saying thank you. Without actually saying it. ]
[voice]
[Meaning this is barely a blip on the radar for her. You however? You will never be welcome.]
[voice]
[Voice] - Action
[Meaning, she's keeping her opinions to herself.]
