[KOS-MOS is just walking along the street. Some people might think she's going shopping but since she isn't human, there's no need. She doesn't work today so it seems she's just patrolling. Or learning more of the cities layout.

Her expression though looks like she wants to be sighing. She turns her NV to look behind her... Where a small, colorful kitten is following her. It has no collar but some people don't put collars on their cats so...]

It has been following me for ten minutes. I have attempted to coax it to return to its mother or owner but it won't be swayed.

[Why is it following her? And what should she do about it]

If anyone has lost this feline, please alert me and I will bring it to you. It seems intent on following me anywhere.

[She could jump onto a rooftop to avoid it but... dammit, she shouldn't have to go that far.]

[And KOS-MOS will be there about ten minutes later with the kitten trying its best to play with her hair.]

[When the young lady comes in with the kitten without a cage, Angeal looks up and approaches with a smile.]

Were you the one who found the cat?

Yes, my name is KOS-MOS. Are you Angeal?

[Bat. Bat bat, kitty plays with the blue hair that he can reach. So happy right now~]

[mentors]

I am, pleased to meet you.

[Oh kittens, so easily amused.]

Give me one moment, I'll grab the equipment so I can check for a chip.

Alright.

[KOS-MOS nods and detaches the kitten from her hair. It probably won't work very well if the kitten is too close to her. Her systems might mess with the equipment.]

[mentors]

[He returns quickly back, device in hand as he gives the woman an encouraging smile.]

It'll just take a second, just hold him still.

[Angeal will reach up to pet the little guy, skritching behind an ear until he gets it to purr then working his way down to the scruff of it's neck, running the wand over it. It makes a few strange noises, but not the beep he was looking for.]

Nothing, unfortunately.

[KOS-MOS watches Angeal work, and listens to the kittens purring with obvious curiosity.]

So he has no owner then.

[mentors]

[He continues to pet it fondly, subtly checking to see if it was well fed or not, a better sign that it might be a complete stray. Letting him go after a moment, he turns his attention on KOS-MOS.]

Not one that we would have in the database, anyway. But he doesn't have a collar or seem that well fed.

[Adding on after a moment.] We can keep take him in as a stray, if you want, or you can hold onto him and maybe see if the owner comes looking.

[KOS-MOS almost offers him the kitten but there's a faint flash of blue in her eyes. Mary will have none of that.]

I will attempt to care for him.

[mentors]

[He watches her for a brief moment, that brief flash not missed by the former SOLDIER. But the port has all kinds in it, he thinks little of it.]

Have you ever had an animal before? I have some literature pamphlets you can have if not with good advice in them.

[Not many people ever notice the change in eye color. So KOS-MOS doesn't comment on it.]

I have not, it was not part of my programming. And real animals are quite rare in my time. The pamphlets would be appreciated.

Well then, I'll see if I can get a care package put together for you as well.

[It's always nice to see strays be taken in, or at least coming here. They don't last very long once Darkness falls, that he unfortunately knows. He bustles around for a bit and swipes a few of the sample kitten food packets while he's at it.]

The first thing you're going to need right away is food and water for him. Maybe a collar if you end up not finding his owners and wanting to claim him, and we can chip him here as well.

[The kitten seems to know what's going on. He's just snuggling up to KOS-MOS now.]

I'm not sure he is big enough for a collar yet. I will remember that, however.
