[ Angel’s lingering by the angled late-day sunlight coming in through a dusty window of an abandoned warehouse when he turns on his NV, looking about as calm as can be for what he’s about to say. ]

Should have apologized weeks ago for what I did. Nobody should have been killed, I never wanted that to happen. Not here.

But how do you forgive part of who you are when you’re already condemned to hell. Absolution isn’t something i’m looking for anymore when there’s already nothing I can to do to stop the inevitable.

Saving the world doesn’t do anything when you’ve spent a few hundred years doing much worse. [ a beat, while he glances out towards the fading light. ] So what else is there?

[ Another snort. ]

As I said--I could give less of a damn.

That won't change anything. Creatures such as yourself sign your own death warrants.

We will meet and I will end you.
tinyvampiregod: (Meh)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be waiting for the slip.

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
You'll be waiting for your orders. And they won't come. I keep the peace here.
tinyvampiregod: (Default)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Where was your peace when the one you defend ran rampant?

Hellsing will keep the peace and I will enforce it.
manofthenorth: (Now listen here)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 07:15 am (UTC)(link)
Humans have criminals and so do we, and it is civilised that they be judged in the same vein, and by a jury of their peers. Of which you are not.

I've seen murder answered with murder. It's archaic, and besides which it doesn't work.
tinyvampiregod: (Shhh)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Peers. Other vampires who would not convict one of their brethren for slaughter they themselves are guilty of likewise committing.

Or envious of.

There is no justice for them equivalent to that of humans. There is no rehabilitation.
manofthenorth: (You bit me!)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
I beg to differ. We are immortal. The justice that can be done to us can be done in eternity.

Humans have no right to judge vampires. If our code had one thing right, then it was that. Other vampires, and other vampires only.
tinyvampiregod: (Mra!)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
Those vampires who do not kill humans, who do not prey on them, are left to their own devices.

But those who do have trespassed against humanity and must face their judgement. Trash codes of vampires don't apply.
manofthenorth: (Bloodied smirk)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
And just who decided that a vampire must not kill humans? A human, perhaps? You are ridiculous. A vampire to kill vampires for humanity's sake. A freak of nature.

Vampires kill. The only reason vampires don't kill here is respect for the law, and courtesy, it doesn't change what vampires are, and to suggest otherwise is nothing short of speciesism. We have the right to live, to prey as we with, and it is civilisation that came after us, not the other way around.

What keeps a vampire from feeding is sanctity of life, but it is not for you to decide who deserves more to live, prey or predator. That is the nature of life itself, after all.
tinyvampiregod: (Meh)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
I don't decide who deserves to live. I'm not judge or jury, only executioner.

No, you are wrong. We came after civilization. We drew down their attention. We kill and now they have a means to stop that. To destroy the vampires who step out of line and take human life.

Vampires are apex predators no longer. Keep to the law. Don't kill. And you will survive if Abraham van Helsing allows it.
manofthenorth: (Bloodied smirk)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Excuse him while he laughs. ]

Civilisations rise and fall. Mine is gone, and if anything we Vikings were more barbaric than vampires have ever been.

And the day I'm afraid of Van Helsing is the day Lady Chatterly makes me quiver in my boots. Our worlds are different, and you have no more right to play vampire police squad here as the vigilantes do. Kill, and you will be subject to the law, and at this point I promise you it will make me endlessly happy to see you sitting in a sad little human jail cell suffering.
tinyvampiregod: (Twirl)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
For someone who obeys the law so readily here, who enjoys it's protections, you are quick to defend someone who has broken that law and still flaunts his freedom rather than turning himself in.

Perhaps this place, with it's full knowledge of vampires and supernatural threats is better equipped than my world's human police to handle these threats. Or perhaps not, considering the vampire in question ran rabid and still has not been caught. Shouldn't you be counseling him to turn himself over rather than hide? Should he not plead his case and face the justice within the laws you are touting that we obey?
manofthenorth: (Smug contempt)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I am trying to protect my own, what are you doing? Starting fights. Trying to call me out, for example, when I have done nothing. Now you claim to be asking him to turn himself in, when all I've seen are similar invitations and provocations.

There are people here who have the power to manipulate the minds and actions of other people, to set them loose to their own base instincts, to overcharge hormones--human testosterone is a dangerous thing. The people who then act as a result of those conditions are called victims, and no less is this vampire a victim than any other.
tinyvampiregod: (Thinking)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You threatened intervention. I only invited you to try.

I said before, this place is better equipped to handle supernatural justice than my home, than what I am used to. Heh. Or do you think understand can never be met, opinions never changed. [No fight and blood lust cools to Abraham's preferences and this place's unique condition. It's not like he reigned himself in.]
manofthenorth: (Sit back on my throne)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
If that's the case then I suggest you and your little friend cool your jets. You aren't the enforcers here, and if anyone has the right to make suggestions, it is Officer Meyer. That goes for Van Helsing, too.

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Neither are you. [The barest hint of fangs, the flare of red irises, and then the smile is back in place, the tone of voice light and childish.]

If Bram did not abide by the laws, we wouldn't be having this discussion, now would we?
manofthenorth: (Leaning forward to speak)

[personal profile] manofthenorth 2012-03-23 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Power, money, and affiliation grant me more than I think you can imagine. [ A businessman's sharp edged smile of his own. ]
tinyvampiregod: (Thinking)

[personal profile] tinyvampiregod 2012-03-23 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Money and affiliation. That only goes so far.

But power... so few know the true definition. I hope you are one of them. And I hope to find out.

[He tips his head, letting black hair spill over one shoulder.] In a consensual and non-lethal setting, of course.
