I wasn't supposed to need a plan because what happened? The impetus can't be blamed on me, no matter where you want to point the finger. Take that part up with Lucifer and ask him why he needed a show.

But no, i'm taking about you seeming to think I get a free pass. I've never given myself a free pass, so don't try and understand the way that I think because guess what? You don't.

Wrong. You needed a plan. I can tell well enough that this sort of incident has happened before, from what you and those who have defended you have said.

And frankly, you still need a plan. If it can happen once it can happen again. And being that the last time I was ordered not to kill you, I should like to know what sort of alternative methods might work. I'm giving you the chance to have some input into the matter.

But if I have to see another set of dead girls or go through another long line of funerals because you want to be defensive about your feelings rather than face the reality of your situation in a responsible manner, I'm going to hold you responsible for the damages over every one else. If you sit around and don't make a single effort to try to prevent this from happening again, you'll be as guilty as the Devil you blame.
