[Sitting at her computer and stuffing McDonald's fries from a Happy Meal into her mouth, Lisbeth wears a faded black tank top. In addition to three earrings piercing her left lobe, her left nostril, nasal septum, eyebrow, and lip are pierced. A wasp tattoo is only visible when he turns her head to drink from her soda can. Her hair is jet black and cut like Helen Keller did the work herself. The only different thing about her appearance is the black mascara she applied around her eyes, giving her a raccoon effect. She finally addresses her audience.]

I'll give you a face, but no name, Siren's Port. You're gonna see alot of me soon enough.

Fair enough.

May I inquire as to whether or not you've found employment, Ms. Wasp?

[personal profile] ergomaniac 2012-03-24 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
That does cover the full range of possibilities, yes. I'm merely asking because I can assist if you've not.

[personal profile] ergomaniac 2012-03-24 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Forgive the confusion. I'm not offering you a job; I'm saying I can help you look for one.

[personal profile] ergomaniac 2012-03-24 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
What are you interested in?

Most likely going into the latter line of work would be more immediately profitable, as I believe you need a license and special training to work as a tattooist or piercer. I'm not altogether certain of that, however, so perhaps it bears investigating; nevertheless, computers are indubitably more commercially viable.

[He frowns slightly down at his screen. He'd rather taken her earlier refusal to release her name merely as being difficult - which was no foolish move; people here were so consistently curious that one could often negotiate for information with something as mundane as a name. But setting up such barriers merely for his name as well? It smacked either of caution or of paranoia, two concepts separated by a very thin line.]

My name is Miles Edgeworth. I work as an attorney.

[Edgeworth blinks, surprised, but then wonders why he would be surprised. Ms. Wasp is a young woman who dresses oddly and eats poorly - in short, the sort of person with whom Wright constantly spends the majority of his time deal of time. Is that whom Wasp told her name? He does have the most uncanny ability to win trust from people...]

I do. You're acquainted with him?

[If she'd been talking about her relationship with anyone save Wright, that might have sounded suspicious...But it was Wright.]

Nice to a fault, I fear. But you'll never meet anyone more loyal than he. If you've decided to put your trust in him, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone better.

[Oh. Hm.]

Regardless, the point still stands; if you do end up trusting him, you won't regret it. If I may inquire, however: do names hold a particular significance in your culture?

[He thinks that over a while. The easiest response is Doesn't simply talking to people do that, but he has a feeling that if he writes that the young woman's response will be to...stop talking.]

Perhaps so. But having people in one's life is a vital part of the human condition, do you not think?

[His lips twitch downwards. Familiar sentiment.]

Think about what you told me earlier. What interest you are tattooing, piercing, and computers. Answer me, though: what use are any of these activities without other people around? How could any of these activities even exist without others?
