If the presence of a few hundred immigrants is enough to throw someone off of their rung, they had no place being on the ladder in the first place. What sort of men are they, blaming those with more tenacity and will for their misfortunes? [with pure, amused disdain:] They aren't interested in equality. They're interested in finding a scapegoat for their own bitter arrogance and inability to work for themselves, and would no sooner stop to extend the same courtesy to you were your roles reversed than they would flush their yearly paycheck down a drain.
