003✌[Accidental Video]
[Its only 19:10 two hours after evening sirens, but already Dirk was needing to take a rest and find shelter to catch his breath and take stock of his actions.
His NV showed him for a brief moment as he cleaned the gore from the shades, before panning around the street, left then right. The sound of beasts and other horrific monsters could be heard in the near distance and the mutilated bodies (or what was left of them) were scattered at Dirk's feet.]
Like looking for a needle in a hay stack my ass...
[Spitting onto the red tainted blade of his Katana before cleaning it off on a rag he pulled from his pocket.]
I'm looking for one needle, not a fucking crack house full of them.
[Dirk sighed and slipped his NV-shades back over his eyes once both it and his sword were clean. He'd been looking for a certain kind of monster, but managed to stumble onto every other kind and its mother.]
Has to be out here somewhere. Lets try this again.
[This was where the feed cut off.]

Re: text; private
[Just because they met with her on a hospital bed didn't mean she couldn't take care of herself.]
Are you really back at work?
What are you looking for?
text; private
[Dave hadn't taught her about irony? Dirk didn't have it in him to lie to her, nor did he have it in him to tell her his exact location.]
Figuratively speaking there, Nill. I'm looking for a monster, a specific one at that. This one and I have a grudge that needs settling with the harsh edge of my blade.
text; private
[Nill knows jack shit about irony, alas.]
What did it do?
text; private
[Notice how he didn't answer your question?]

What did it do?
text; private
A few days back now, it took the lives of my brother and his friend. I found their weapons along with a trail from the monster that I've been trying to follow. So far, all routes are dead, nothing but trails that lead me nowhere.
[He's so glad this is via text, seeing as he's chocked up after typing some of those words.]

Nearly ten minutes go by before a response actually pops up.]
I think someone may have already killed the monster you're looking for.
text; private
He waited, in the shelter he'd found, until Nill replied.]
Are you sure its the same one?
text; private
I don't know.
If Dave gets himself killed again, tell me.
text; private
If I can help it, I should have to be telling anyone anything like that again.
text; private
Though of course, that's the anger talking. Normally she'd be more understanding.]
That isn't the point.
But no-- he's not going to end up like that again.
text; private
Now I just have to make sure what caused his undoing is not still out here lurking around.
text; private
Dave isn't the only one with extra time.

[People can die in thirty minutes. But if that's the best he can do, or is willing to do...]
All right.
text; private
[He'd meet her half way, but that was as far as he bent. Dirk wanted to be spending his time out there actually looking for this monster rather than texting people.]
Thanks Nill.
text; private
[It wouldn't take up too much of his time, and that way she'd know if he was still kicking around. She doesn't like the idea leaving him alone out there, but... his brother died.]
You don't need to thank me for this.
text; private
Sup buttercup.

My door is open if you want to rest for a little while.
[But otherwise, she'll leave him be so he can do what he needs to do.]
