[Sorry, Jack, Hattie's back. She's covered in mud again, and she looks pissed.]
WHAT is going on??
Is there another trick happening at the port!? Whoever started this better fix it right now!
All of my things are in that house and she won't let me in!
[She then proceeds to whine.]
I want a bath! And my dresses! And my make-up! And my mirror! And my shoes! I can't live like this, I'm a PRINCEEEEEEEESS!
[*sob*]

[voice]
... has anyone ever told you that you're scary when you want to be? Maybe you should be the wrestler instead of me. [A pause.] Do you have somewhere else to stay if it doesn't pan out...?
[voice]
Really? Goodness, that's the first time I've heard it.
Now.. I suppose I have a couple of options now that I think about it. Actually, this is a lot different than the first time I've arrived.
[The first time, she'd received responses from mostly strangers. This time, they were mostly familiar faces. It's touching, really.]
[voice]
He adds a swift-] You've had a rough day. It's probably nothing. [- before moving on with a little laugh of his own, a quieter, deeper brother to Hattie's.] That's a relief. I was worrying that I'd have to invite you to stay with me; I'm not sure my apartment is entirely safe for humans.
[voice]
[Hattie lets it go for now, finding an opportunity to tease Warsman.]
My, that is rather bold of you, Warsman, just what did you plan on doing with me once I was in your apartment, hmn?
[voice]
Oh. Is that how that sounded?!]
Th-that's really not what I... I... [Though Hattie won't be able to tell, he can feel his mask getting hot from embarrassment. A little stiffly, in a kind of sincerely forced seriousness, he manages:] I don't have any untoward intentions for you, Miss Hattie.
[voice]
Hahahaha! I know, I know, I was just teasing. Warsman, you're such a sweetheart, I almost feel bad for doing that.
[Protip: She doesn't feel bad. She pauses a moment.]
But what did you mean 'for humans'? .. You're a demon? I didn't know that.
[voice]
Warsman, if he wasn't blushing enough, in all likelihood is just short of the smoke-pouring-out-of-his-helmet stage, but he still somehow squeezes out a response.]
... I-I see. [what else could he say to that oh god] Well, that's good, then. I'd hate for you to think that...
[... let's not even go there. He coughs quietly, focusing on the subject change.] Not a demon. I'm a robo-choujin- half-robot, half superhuman.
[voice] 1/2
[voice] I lied 2/3
[voice] 3/3
[voice] lmfao worth it
Sounding a little hurt, he tries:] I'd rather you didn't use the word "demon".
[voice] Yay <3
Um, I'm sorry. What I meant to say was, 'I can't believe I've been conversing with a half-human.'. I suppose that explains why you prefer to text and the like..
[She does have a reason for her assumption, yes. He doesn't fit her definition of 'robot'.
No one said it was a good reason!]
[voice]
I know, and it's alright. It's just... a sensitive subject. [He gives a little sigh.] Mm. The way I look frightens people sometimes; I guess I just try to make my first impressions a little better by avoiding the camera.
[voice]
Hmn, I see.. I don't really know what to say to that, other than this is a place where there are unleashed dragons lumbering about. I think a half-human is the least of anyone's problems here.
[She smirks]
Besides, aren't you a superstar now? It's rather counterproductive at this point, Warsman.
[voice]
He even manages another little laugh.]
Actually... it may seem hard to believe, but I was fairly famous at home. Not royalty like you, of course- though I did fight alongside a king- but a lot of people knew my name.
[voice]
If you were from my world, I think you'd easily become quite a famous jousting champion.
[Or rather 'infamous', but she decides it best not to make such a correction. Poor stereotyped black knights.]
Frankly, now I understand even less why you are so shy about what you are.
[voice]
[And then there's the fact that he wears a mask for a reason- but the less attention he draws to that, the better.
This is all getting a little too close- too self-pitying. He adds, swiftly:] None of that really matters here, though.
[Voice]
[Hattie seems quite proud to say that. Humble she is not!]
Curiously enough, that is often the lives of jousters. Some are quite charismatic, but there are others whom are feared even outside of the arena.
Anyway, yes, you clearly need some help with your self-esteem, Warsman. And since I'm such a sweet lady, I'll take some time out of my schedule to help you with that.
That is, once I have my problems sorted out. Do you have a coach yet?
no subject
He's still thinking about it when he hears Hattie say the words "help you with that" and is started back to reality.]
"Help me with"... [He blinks, then very quickly indeed he manages a response.] I-it's fine, really! You don't have to do that. I'm okay as I am. [That's not strictly true, but things are embarrassing enough already. Hopefully her own "problems" will take her longer to fix than she anticipa- no, what sort of thing is that to think?!
He coughs.] No, I don't have a coach. I've had a little trouble finding anyone with the right expertise.
no subject
Well it's a little too late to decline, Warsman, it's already been decided. And what's this about 'expertise'? How difficult can it be?
All there is to being a champion is talking tough and keeping up your exercise isn't it? Even I could make you do that.
[Not to mention, she could get a lot of exposure for her dresses. She may have to do something more modern though..]
no subject
NEEDWANT A LIFE COACH] Wrestling experience. I-I'm really not sure...[The trouble is, he's never been that good at saying no to people he likes. The best he can do is try to put her off.]
You'd have to spend a lot of time in the gym while I worked out. It's not exactly pleasant. [then, in a flash of inspiration:] My old coach used to let me practise my techniques and holds on him.
no subject
[Warsman is trying to evade her, she can feel it. But she most certainly doesn't want to be put in holds. Not a chance!]
Well, it seems being a wrestling coach isn't quite for me after all. But I can still help you overcome your personality limitations.
Now all that's left to decide is to practice in or out of the gym. Perhaps in the gym would be suitable.
