[ Xerxes Break is in bed, clad in pajamas and a dressing gown. The sash is pulled tight, revealing a slim waist. Wound about his neck is a scarf. It's made of - feathers?
He taps anxiously at the side of his face with thin, finely-tapered fingers. ]
Doctor Stein, give me a ring.
[ This was intended to be a private call. However, Break's entirely voice-controlled NV isn't responding correctly: because this morning, he woke up with a different voice. His vocal timbre, normally high-pitched, is now positively squeaky. ]
Or just come over. That would probably be--
ah-chiiii!
[ After making that, er, noise (which sounded for all the world like a chipmunk being kicked), Break scowls for a few seconds…
