move two ♞ voice.

I feel rather as though I have settled into a slump.

[A beat. Her voice is neutral in tone. Hannah is -- well, she is not on a downer, but she is not happy. ]

Would it be over-zealous of me to inquire if there is someone with recommendations for filling a void left by someone important? I have taken up knitting, but it only distracts me for a short amount of time. The process is soothing enough, but it does make one rather despondent when one realizes that there is no-one to wear the product.

[Another beat. ]

I should be most grateful for suggestions for a new pass-time, in short.

Oh, only because of the pull? No one can really leave on their own, but you never know what the Core might do. It's completely unpredictable, I think. As long as there's a place for you to go back to, you can hope someday you'll be freed. If you want to be. I know some people would prefer to stay, either because they like the city better than wherever they came from or because there's nothing for them to go back to. Like if their lives had already come to an end in their world.

Those people seem to have an easier time making their own happiness here. Maybe because they don't have to think about what they're missing outside the port.
