Rash of Disappearances Connected to Soul-Eating Monster(s)?
Over the last several days, the SPPD has received a record number of missing persons reports, all with a startlingly similar story. The individuals filing the reports all claimed that they all expected to meet or see a loved one, coworker, or family member at a certain time, only for them to not show up and leave all messages unanswered. They simply vanished, and though it is unconfirmed with several such cases, investigators speculate they've been disappearing in the evening.
Even more disturbing, however, are the increased number of sightings of the bizarre shadow creatures sighted several days ago. Listed nowhere in Darwin's Guide, Darkness experts have been unable to identify the monsters or the odd symbol that marks some of their bodies.
Though some speculate they are not native to Siren's Port, others claim the creatures are actually multiplying and feeding off the souls of their victims.
- Pumpkin Carving & Baking Competition at The Soul Patch, a soul food breakfast and lunch cafe and chicory coffee shop in upper sector 4. Bring your Jack o’ Lanterns and any pumpkin-y treats and dishes, sweet or savory. Winners in each category will receive a $30 patch gift card. Closing hours extended till 5:30 today, for 3pm judging and an all-pumpkin potluck of entries.
