...I'm pretty certain that the dead have never been able to do anything like that. The Chantry says that when you die, your spirit passes through the Fade and goes to the Maker's side, or ends up in the Void. Justice said he saw the souls of the dead in the Fade as well, though he didn't know where they were going.
