[ Peter rarely makes posts to the network with such express purpose, but when he shows up on the feed this time, he looks prepared. Like he's got a message. And he only glances off camera once, before he starts. ]
You know, been here almost a year and a half now. Place definitely takes a toll on a person after awhile. Especially when things at home don't exactly make it any easier to deal with the kind of things that go on here. If you let it, everything just kind of.. falls apart. [ He shrugs, grasping a little for the right words. Public speaking isn't his strong suit. ]
Doesn't mean it has to, though. I know more than a few people here have made allegiances with people they never would've thought to. Whatever gets you through, right? Makes it easier, helps keep you going? Didn't actually think i'd end up happy in this place, not after everything that's happened.
[ This time, when he looks off camera again, he lets his NV turn ... to an expectant Sylar, his dark gaze fixed on the device. He smiles, wryly, as though to say 'surprise'. ]
Makes a lot of sense, when you think about it. The people who remind you of home, who understand what it's like to be you better than anyone else does; you can't really pick and choose who those people are. Adversity makes strange bedfellows.
[ He quirks an offscreen glance toward Peter. ]
Everyone deserves a little happiness in their lives, don't you think? Someone to love. Something you'd kill to protect. [ He reaches out suddenly, viper-quick, pulling Peter back into view of the NV by dragging him into his lap, and surprising a smile out of him in the process. Sylar presses his nose into Peter's neck, buries his nose briefly into hair that has grown back mysteriously quickly, and then looks back at the screen mockingly. ]
Like this smile. Isn't it adorable? A man could kill for a smile like this.
[ But before Sylar can embarrass them both any further, Peter's fumbling for his NV and trying not to smile so much as he turns off the feed. ]
[ ooc; blue is Peter; red is Sylar. threadjacking is encouraged! ]

video;
Was that seriously a phasing joke? I love it.
video;
Not at all, Sparky.
Making things disappear is always serious business.
video;
[ Hand spitting up fizzing, radioactive sparks, like a miniature firework. ]
Takes away from the magic.
video;
Somebody always knows.
video;
[ A hushed stage whisper. ]
You should see him in scrubs.
video;
[ He matches that tone. ]
Does he play dress-up for you?
video;
[ Seriously he is in so much trouble already. ]
video;
[ Ahahahaha. ]
video;
video;
Oh dear.
We mustn't have that.
video;
Why so interested? Jealous?
video;
He chuckles again. ]
Alas, Sparky!
That would require a heart I don't actually have.
Romance isn't really my forté.
video;
[ Look at him stop draping and suddenly become interested again. ]
How does that work, exactly?
video;
Shades of gray. But that's what Nobodies are, isn't it? ]
Exactly like it sounds, Sparky. That old, metaphysical ticker of mine just up and wandered off one day.
[ He pauses, tapping his chin lightly as if in deep thought. ]
Or was it stolen? Hard to say these days, it's been so long.
You get used to being incomplete.
video;
[ He tilts his head, still looking studious, leaning a little further forward. ]
I don't think you don't know how it happened. Something like that, something so life changing--it doesn't just breeze past without you noticing.
video;
[ He shrugs. ]
Sure it could, Sparky. People suppress things all the time.
Memories aren't so reliable if you break the chains that bind.
video;
[ Lol like he remembers his father murdering his mother in front of him and selling him to his brother and sister in law? Yeah. ]
video;
The heart's a tricky thing.
video;
video;
[ And yet an even better one would be: ]
What wouldn't I know about it?
video;
video;
I know because I've had one. I didn't actually spring fully formed and heartless out of someone's head.
[ A beat. ]
Though I will say, that is an interesting image.
video;
Try Greek legend, they're big on that.
video;
Already been, Sparky.
The Underworld's quite a sight.
