A question for all of those involved with magic in their respective worlds, how exactly does it work where you are from? Things always seem to work slightly differently in each new place, and of course there is always plenty of room for creative individuals to revolutionize its practice. If you would be so kind, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I possess a number of more general magical skills.

I can create any number of wards and protective spells. However, outright healing is not within my purview. It seems the ways of life-giving are cut off from me, given the dark origin of my powers.

How did you come to begin the study of magic?

I was quite young when I sensed a woeful spirit living in a distant relative's house during Thanksgiving dinner and realized that I had a certain knack for LOOKING BEYOND WHAT MORTAL EYES CAN SEE.

Mmmmmm, and did you have to find a master, or were you mostly self-taught?

I do have a Master, although he's a bit eccentric, so he's more of a guide than an instructor in the strictest sense of the word.

Some of his teaching methods are unconventional and a bit heavy on the unrelated metaphor.
