Oh, I'm sorry! I should've said thank-you first. I'm glad I have a home to return to and... [ he gives a sly look ] Should there be an extra thanks for taking care of Gil for me? He's a difficult man to work with, but he means well! [ And poor Gil must have been devastated the last time Oz left. He wonders how many plates were broken... ]

I've tried telling him a whole bunch of times! Do you have any ideas?

Hmmm... I don't know! I've never really had one of my own. There were always cats around the neighborhood where I grew up, that I used to feed. I think I liked how independent they were— they never seemed to need anyone or anything, but they were always happy to come around and cheer you up!

Have you tried nursing him back to health? [ Oz will gladly knock him out for you. ]

They must have liked you then, if they paid that much attention too you. Cats are excellent judges of character. [ unlike dogs, who will like you just for feeding them. Kind of like a rabbit Oz knows. ]

It seems like there are people from a lot of different places here.

But at least, if you have people you left behind, they should be glad to see you again, right? It's nice that you're back, and they're there waiting for you. You wouldn't want to have arrived and been all alone here.
