Horoscopes
Aries
March 21 - April 19
Collaboration, balance and partnership are what you're likely to be forging now. Push aside pride and don't be afraid to accept help available to you now. Justice isn't always served in ways we'd prefer to see. When all we receive through giving is ungratefulness, we begin to question our actions. A reward for your faith, support or loyalty is coming.
Taurus
April 20 - May 20
We hear the phrase 'be careful what you wish for because you might get it'. To anyone painfully aware of what's missing in their world, such a statement is music to their ears. Who cares what repercussions might be if we're offered something we believe we truly want and need? You care, that's who. Be honest about how relevant what you're being granted now is to your current needs. If you're aware of the existence of anything resembling a rut, then get ready for change
Gemini
May 21 - June 20
Imaginations, as we know, can sometimes 'run riot'. Yet, we're told that we shouldn't allow them to do so. We are supposed to be serious and keep both feet planted squarely on the ground at all times. Does that sound dull to you? Developments this week are likely to find you wanting to escape into worlds of your creation or channel creativity in some way. If ever there was a time to let your heart rule your head, it is now. Let your heart take over, for this week.
Cancer
June 21 - July 22
Cancerians often display inexhaustible levels of caring and compassion but when needs exists for either or both to be focused on domestic matters, then Crabs are often willing to drop whatever they're holding to address such needs. With the sky speaking clearly of a potentially sudden need this week to take care of something close to home, you'd be well advised to be on your guard and ready for action. Whatever transpires will be sudden, but nothing you cannot deal with.
Leo
July 23 - August 22
With such strong emphasis on communication and getting more than one essential point across to more than one person, the coming week is bound to see you speaking, writing, proposing and negotiating in ways you might not have done for a while. The time has come to spell out very clearly what you want, why you want or need it and how one or two people can assist you. Trust that the sky is on your side to ensure you don't need to struggle to find the very words you need.
Virgo
August 23 - September 22
Even if you consider yourself to be a super-organized Virgo, developments this week will see you giving thought and focus to allocation of your resources. It's time to consider what you value and some sort of budget reorganization looks likely. The really good news involves the likelihood of you and someone else being aware of how you can work together to feather your respective nests. What gets launched or decided now has long term implications for your bank balance.
Libra
September 23 - October 23
This week brings a Full Moon in your sign. This is not an overnight development and you're probably aware of how a certain tense situation has been building for some time. The good news is, you're being encouraged to 'branch out' and consider how new individuals can play a part in your world in weeks and months to come. You're the Zodiac's networker. It's time to show yourself and a few others how like minds and common interests can bring fantastic results.
Scorpio
October 24 - November 21
We all file away certain events from our pasts in a mental folder marked 'Never To Be Opened'. We have reasons for not wanting to be reminded of what occurred before. You are reminded now of why you chose to put a certain event behind you and forget about it. You have a wonderful chance to learn something invaluable by revisiting what you have deliberately ignored. This week's Full Moon plays an integral part in you – knowingly or unknowingly – influencing those around you. It's a case of you getting back what you give out.
Sagittarius
November 22 - December 21
The cosmos are encouraging you to assess one or two relationships and decide what needs to be done to strengthen or rebuild them. Be bold and be brave. How you choose to react to a particular situation is very important now. You can react like anyone else would, and such ways will meet with approval from certain people. However, you know this is not ideal. You will earn much more respect through reacting in a way that surprises others, including yourself.
Capricorn
December 22 - January 19
Sometimes, it only takes a nudge from a caring cosmos to steer us in the right direction. We don't mind being nudged from time to time. We often wonder how or why we ended up in new situations but soon see clear ways forward. This week's astrological developments focus squarely on you being nudged to let go of something or someone you're clinging to. You know what has reached the end of its usefulness. It's time to let go and move forward.
Aquarius
January 20 - February 18
A situation that has needed you to put it right for some time is about to get attention it deserves. Once and for all, you’ll be dealing with this problem, and the best thing to do is tackle it all at once from every possible angle. This week's Full Moon highlights what ancient astrologers referred to as the sector of your chart concerned with 'broadening of the mind'. Every Aquarian will have their own story to tell about which areas are relevant, but closure on some level is imminent.
Pisces
February 19 - March 20
Prepare, this week, for the equivalent of a cosmic clearing of cobwebs. For many Pisces, it will be more than cobwebs that get cleared or removed but the sky speaks clearly of the need to reevaluate a relationship or commitment. Where there has been imbalance, you can expect to be reassured of balance in the not too distant future. What has existed between you and someone else needs to alter in some way. That's what the cosmos is working hard to make happen now.
[OOC Note: The horoscopes are considered by most in the City to be very accurate, since a lady with an ability for this sort of thing provides them. Use them as you will - accurate or not.]

Chump Change For Siren’s Port as Townshed’s Cold Corpse is Turned Moneybag
The city is shocked (but none too eager to begin mourning) the loss of Governor Townshed, whose dead body finally turned up on the front step of The First Bank of Siren’s Port this morning, shortly after sirens. Security was startled to find his corpse lying face down on the steps as they opened up for the morning, and as they tried to drag his body upright, loose change began pouring out of the late governor’s mouth.
The full autopsy reports have not been released, but police have concluded that Townshed, who showed additional signs of being bound at the ankles and wrists and had been missing for nine days, may have been rapidly forcefed large quantities of coinage until he choked. The irony has not been lost on anyone working at City Hall, some who reacted with appropriate horror but mostly with grim disgust at the unknown killer’s spiteful sense of humor.
“Someone who didn’t like pay their taxes, obviously.” droned one city worker, when facing a round of brutal questioning by SPPD officers, who seem to have taken to street interrogations with frightening ease over the past week as Siren’s Port has fallen to the hands of police authority and corporate security networks heavily patrolling their respective downtown territories.
Townshed was voted into office two years ago as an unpopular choice for many, an 11th hour candidate whose lack of direct ties to either AGI or SERO won public favor as the race betwen Astrid Keelson and Henry Oberst drew to a tense corporate stalemate. Townshed was previously a taxman for the city for over 30 years, and treasury advisor to the late Governor Redgrave. Even his secretaries called him “overly fastidious, obsessed with little more than budget cuts and balancing-- completely unlikable as a person.” He leaves behind no living relations and his 6 yr old Schnauzer, Fowler.
A short memorial service and funeral procession, open to the public, will be held at Cinnigrad Cemetary at noon on Tuesday, March 26th. Government buildings and schools will be closed for the day.
