[ It's been a long time since Sam's shown his face on the network. Sam's been gone from the Port for a week, but for him-- he thinks it's been much longer. The younger Winchester's checked the date and contacts before coming over the feed, smiling fleetingly, looking, if anything, a bit tired.

He has his soul, but he doesn't know he's been without it. ]

I'm back. [ It's said slightly breathlessly. ] Sorry if I worried anyone. What did I miss?

[ Then, in a sort of mutter: ] ... It's terrible, how quick you forget. How once you're home, all this is gone.

Thanks. [ And he flashes a good ol' Sam smile. ] I've been gone a while, this time. What'd I miss?

You're welcome. You mother wanted me to tell her where the Core was. I didn't. Otherwise, not much.

[That smile is a relief, actually, and he offers one of his own.]

Your hair is longer.

[His own is long enough that he often ties it back.]

Why? [ He's surprised, but only mildly. After all, he'd been talking to Magneto about the Core recently, so maybe his mom had thought about the whole thing, herself.

He smiles faintly at the hair comment. ] Yeah, guess it is.

She wants to attempt to communicate with it. But that's a rather large mission to plan.

[He wasn't opposed to the idea, actually.]

Good thing you're tall - being grabbed at the top of the head it a good way to lose a fight.

[A word of advise there - it's why his is pulled back.]

Yeah... it would be. [ And something (he assumes Magento is thinking the same) that they'd talked about before. ]

Ha. Yeah, well, I'm usually all set there. [ Being taller than most, he rarely has that problem. ]

Possibly worthwhile, though. [He's not sure he trusts Mary to know what she's proposing they start - but he trusts Sam to.]

Lucky for you. [He knows a few taller than Sam, but mutants run tall.]

Definitely worthwhile. And something we should figure out. [ And soon. ]

Who else would you want to sit in?

[ He gives it a moment of thought. ]

I dunno. Who d'you think should be there?

I don't know. There's very few I trust Sam - I don't wish for someone to gain a little knowledge, over estimate what they know, or themselves, and endanger all of us.

I suppose for you and yours, Castiel would be a good suggestion and while I'm not opposed for my sake - I've worked with Doom when the situation called for it, and this would be something similar in nature - I doubt he's willing to work with me. I don't really know what to do about that.

Any others I would suggest are no longer here.

Good point. [ Not that he trusts a ton of people here, either, but he thought he'd ask, for curiosity's sake. ]

Cas? Alright. [ Of course, Sam trusts Cas. He's wary, though, given what he knows of Magneto and Cas' relationshp, which is why he adds: ] I'm not sure how he'll feel about it, but I'll try.

We should probably gather a list - and I should talk to Mary, hash out names when we've had some time to mull it over.

Yeah, I think so, too. Once... I've got some things settled, I'll work on it. And get back to you.
