[Here's a face that hasn't been seen in a while. It looks like he just got back in from a long day of work. Or something.]

[Said dragon is also not seeming inclined to budge. Can you blame him though? He's got it into his head that if he lets Hiccup out of his sight for too long, he'll disappear on him again.]

[Oh yes, it's quite obvious. A big green eye glances up at Hiccup before shutting as he rumble-purrs like a turbo-charged kitten.]

[He leans back in his defeat, sighing.]

...You know I'm gonna have to get back up sometime.

[b2_dragon]

[Well yes, that's true. Toothless grunts in understanding. But now isn't sometime, apparently.]

[Pause.]

So. Can I get up?

[b2_dragon]

[He slides a glance back at the boy again. Then he moves his head a little, although only in something of a thoughtful gesture than truly be planning to move from Hiccup's lap.]

[It's nice to get some circulation back. That fuzzy feeling is never fun.]

[Toothless seems to be content with this as he makes an almost cat-like face, eyes closed, a quiet rumble rolling through him.]

[All the pettings. And some scratchies, too.]

It doesn't feel like it, but I guess I spent too much time away from here, huh.

[Opening his eyes again, the dragon peers at Hiccup almost sadly. It had been a worrying amount of time that the boy had vanished, and after hearing what had happened to Aurican, Toothless had been very concerned.

He gives a low groan, pulling his head back a moment before shoving his nose towards Hiccup's palm.]

[summing_it_up]

[The Viking boy blinks at the reaction he's given. Resting his hand over the blunt nose, he feels Toothless' warm breath. At the same time, his heart sinks a little.

Lips press together tightly as he looks away.]

...Sorry for taking so long.

[b2_dragon]

[Nudge. Aw, don't look away. Earflaps drooping a bit, Toothless gets to his feet, moving closer.]

[summing_it_up]

[Oof. Hiccup sways, but he reaches out, awkwardly wrapping his arms around the dragon's neck.]

[b2_dragon]

[That's better. Toothless snorts approvingly before settling beside Hiccup again.]

[He doesn't mind this at all. It's much more comfortable to have a dragon next to him now than it was before he vanished. In fact, he keeps an arm draped over Toothless, petting him continuously.]

...You know? We should go flying again.

[b2_dragon]

[Head perking a little at that, Toothless seems to approve of this idea very much.]

[He smiles.]

Yeah, you like the sound of that, don't you?

[b2_dragon]

[That's a silly question, Hiccup. Of course he likes the sound of that! And you smell more of the correct "when" than before. If that makes any sense. Well it does to Toothless, so that's all that matters, yes? Yes.]

[summing_it_up]

[Good! Because he's feeling so much better about the piloting business now.]

[Yes, all the scratchings. And he nods in agreement to this- right before he passes out on Hiccup. You went and found just the right spot again, didn't you.]
