- SERO Makes Offer to Violet Systems
In the wake of the news of the disassociation of Violet Systems from its sponsor, SERO, business analysts have been paying close attention to SERO awaiting a reaction. At last, around noon on Monday, SERO's legal department released a statement addressed to Mr. Lee Chaolan, the Newcomer CEO and President of Violet Systems.
"Dear Mr. Chaolan and Employees of Violet Systems,
We are saddened to hear of your intentions to disassociate your company from SERO. Indeed, we believe that we have achieved a productive and fruitful partnership with Violet Systems in our years of working together, so your announcement was certainly regrettable news.
We would like to extend an offer that you reconsider your position on this matter. Please keep in mind the advancements that our corporations have made together over the years, and how our partnership has strengthened both of our organizations both monetarily and in terms of credibility. We are willing to negotiate the terms of the new security policies which you find disagreeable, and invite you to a lunch meeting on Tuesday, October 30th in order to discuss them.
However, if it is truly your intention to depart from SERO, our legal department would like you to take the following actions:
1. Immediately surrender into SERO's custody all physical/technological assets of Violet Systems, as these were paid for with SERO's funding.
2. Immediately surrender into SERO's custody all files, documents and patents, electronic or physical, as these were paid for by SERO. Your patents were created on SERO's time with SERO's money and as such, are the property of SERO.
3. All Violet Systems employees must sign confidentiality agreements not to discuss, disclose, or attempt to profit from ideas, blueprints or technological advancements that were created while under SERO's funding. This is covered under the employment paperwork that all of your employees signed upon working for SERO, and all found in violation of this code can and will be sued for breach of contract.
4. All Violet Systems employees must surrender any benefits, insurance plans or other perks received while working for SERO. Insurance plans will become ineffective immediately upon disassociation of the companies.
Further actions may be required based on negotiations. It will also be necessary to negotiate over ownership of the trademarked brand name "Violet Systems" which is arguably property of SERO.
We hope you will reconsider your intent to disassociate and continue our fruitful, beneficial partnership.
