[The audio feed begins with a horrible screech as the recording NetVice and its attached receiver skid violently across a wooden floor, the clatter of metal against metal signaling the heavy device’s abrupt stop against the wall of the room it is recording from-- not that such would be visible, as only the audio function had been tripped by the sudden upset of the innocent device when it was brutally knocked from its rest on a table that was currently at risk for being next in line for mistreatment.

It’s not quite the end of the feed, though. No less than a second following the ungodly racket, a voice begins to yell from across the room. Despite the distance between the speaker and the recording device, his words come across loud and clear.

The speaker is young, English, and very, very angry.]

WHY?! Are we not charged with protecting this land-- even this wretched, filthy land-- from supernatural threats?! Is that not our duty to the Crown! Even if the cockroaches revive because of the Core, LET THEM DIE!! And IF they should reappear-- take them and condition them THEN as you will!!

[Unfortunately, gravity elects that moment to shift the NV against the wall so that it snaps shut, cutting the transmission before the rest of the conversation can play out.

[There's an uneasy silence on his end, but he eventually settles on accepting her assurances... for the time being.]

[That was a tough one to address. Without the information network they had at their disposal in their own world, pinning down the location of the rampaging vampires could take days-- if they even stuck to a particular area. As accomplished as they were as hunters, they needed more personnel to cover the island with any semblance of efficiency.

However, given his outburst earlier, it was possible that Walter would not be seen fit to hunt on his own or with someone outside the organization while the presently-rampaging vampires were still free. He had not asked whether he would be allowed to.
