It should be a good thing, should it not? For someone to return to the world in which they belong. They are going back to friends and family... We should be glad of that. Yet it is still painful to lose that person, because they are your dear friend.

I am glad for the friendships I have made here, however temporary they may be.

While we're both here, I'll do whatever I can to protect you. As long as we're here, no one else is going to lock you up. If they try I'll come and get you and orb you away.

You can accomplish great things here too. We might as well see what we can do while we're stuck here.

[she places a hand on her heart. It's almost too much to hear him say things like that]

Thank you, Chris. I swear to you I will strive toward the greatness you see in me.

[charmedson]

[He smiles and looks down, a little embarrassed by how honest he's being. She inspires that in him though. He doesn't want to keep up the walls around her. A bit of his hair falls in his face for a moment before he looks back up at her.]

Hey, you don't have to worry so much. I just want you to know that there's a least someone here who looks at you and knows that you're strong. You'll survive. Even when it's something as sad as losing a friend.

[now she's blushing, which with her pale complexion is painfully obvious]

You're right. She wouldn't want me to despair forever. The best way I can honor her memory is to move forward.

[charmedson]

[He nodded a bit, though he wasn't the best person to talk about 'moving forward' he was glad that she could see something good in what he was saying.]

In a bit, anyway. For right now, it's just the two of us up here. You're allowed to feel sad.

[she drops her head, thinking of all the people who aren't with her. Not just Ino but her parents, the huntsman, the dwarves, William... For years she was able to handle solitude, but the loss of these people still hurt.

Then again, there's Chris. He's still here. She's so grateful for that, she can't imagine how she can thank him for it]

[charmedson]

[Chris watches her for a moment and then looks out over the view.]

This place doesn't seem so bad from up here.

[towerlocked]

[she lifts her head to observe said view]

Yes, you can see the so much beauty here. Already I feel my heart is lighter.

[charmedson]

Mine too.

If you ever need to come back up here, just let me know.

[towerlocked]

Thank you, Chris. [she reaches to rest her hand on his arm] Not just for this view, but for being there.

[charmedson]

[Chris looks down at her hand on him, hair falls into his face again. Despite himself he smiles a bit.]

Thank you to you too. [He said after a moment] I think I needed a break just as much as you did.

[Snow likes it when he smiles, and smiles with him]

You can take a break with me whenever you need one.

[charmedson]

I'll keep that in mind.

[she smiles at him, then turns back to enjoy the view. The cold makes her shiver. As much as she appreciates the modern clothes, they're not so good at keeping out the chill]

[Chris takes off his jacket and wraps his around her.]

Here. I don't want you to freeze.

You would think a girl named Snow White would be best suited for cold weather. [see she can make fun of her own name]

[charmedson]

Yeah, well, I always thought the name was more aesthetic than practical.

[towerlocked]

[she smiles] Yes. "White as snow, black as a raven, red as blood". Does your name mean something special?

[charmedson]

Christopher was my grandfather's name and Halliwell is my mother's family name. Her family is really powerful and the name carries with it that power so my father let his children keep her name too.

[towerlocked]

Christopher Halliwell. [she says the whole thing to hear how it sounds] I like that. It suits you.

[charmedson]

Thank you.

I like going by 'Chris'.

[towerlocked]

I like calling you that. So I am happy to continue doing so.

[charmedson]

I guess that means I'll keep calling you 'Snow'? Unless there's some kind of princess title I should be using instead?

[towerlocked]

[she shakes her head] Please, I would prefer not to have formality between us. We are friends, after all.

[charmedson]

I've never been very good with formality anyway.
