[As far as anyone will know, Smiley was a soldier, not a spy.]

Questions on these courses can be directed to Professor Smiley at (NV number), and those interested are asked to register at SPU's enrollment office.

[The innocuous announcement is followed several hours later by an anonymous, untraceable text sent only to Newcomer NVs.]

Who do you stand with on this island, and why?

We built and help fund the Newcomer Community Center, which provides a safe space for Newcomers for recreational activities as well as some educational classes to help them adjust to life here. Because of us the process for newcomers to become citizens has been very streamlined, and we've held several citizenship drives. We have also worked with the mayor on matters of newcomer concern.

It is not enough, I know, but it is something. No city wants to take on a group of unintended refugees, but we have much to offer Siren's Port, and it is my personal goal to make sure those in power see it.

Most recently, it concerned the time-loop phenomenon we experienced in February. We were able to appraise him of the crisis and convince him to allow our experts access to the Core and stop the cycle of repetition. Due to our involvement he recently created a newcomer liaison position, acknowledging the need for newcomers to have a voice in government proceedings. I am running for the that office.

[ooc: OMG when I said mayor I meant governor, sorry! ;;]

Not really. In fact the effort to fix the Core was reported as a criminal break-in.

We have a long way ahead of us, but I'm still proud we accomplished that, even if it's not something we can put on a billboard for our reputation.
