Good morning, fellow newcomers. My name is Lee Chaolan, President and CEO of Violet Systems.

I've been considering that with the amount of newcomer-owned businesses here that we should set aside a little time to celebrate our work and share it with the rest of the island in a grand event. With that in mind, I'd like to know what you would think of a weekend-long Newcomer Business Convention-- not just to showcase our products and work, but also to help make it easier for some of our fellow newcomers to find employment in newcomer-run jobs.

At the same time, it would also be nice to have panel discussions on running newcomer businesses and even how to start up businesses for those with high hopes of creating one.

Let me know what you think, or if you'd be willing to participate. I'll be bringing this up with the Newcomer Political Party if the responses turn out favorable. I would want to help keep this kind of affair as neutral as possible, so as to be fair to all newcomers.

Sounds like an interesting idea. I’ve got three businesses here as it is and am always looking for workers. I think I could find some time to help participate in this.

[he chuckles] Do I even need to put myself forward?

[He laughs.] Going to promote your company? I'm glad to hear that you're going to join me in this endeavor.

It's important to pick the right allies in this environment. We're all at a disadvantage, unfortunately.

You do realize that planning this sort of event is likely to draw negative reactions as well?

[Sephiroth is half paying attention to the NV, half tinkering with a circuit board on his desk. He's been learning the basics and while he's still very much a beginner with it, it's held his interest thus far.]

I'm aware of that, and I'm considering giving you the job as Head of Security for the event if it does push through. There's no doubt that anti-newcomer organizations will protest against us.

I'll want to choose my own people. [With Lee's approval of course; Lee is his boss, and Sephiroth can obey the chain of command -- when it suits him.] That was my first thought, when you mentioned the idea.

Do you think you'll get a lot of people in on this?

I think I can get many on the project. I've seen a great number of newcomer-run and newcomer-friendly establishments. But aside from that, I expect that many newcomers seeking jobs might feel most comfortable working with fellow newcomers.

I've seen that, too. Not that all of us had a choice, really.

Oh! I'd love to help! I run Mugshots, and we're always looking for some new hires. It'd be really helpful. And I could see if Roxas, who runs Kahve now, would want to help, too.

Mugshots! I think I've seen your establishment a few times. [He brightens up.] Alright. And I'd love it if you got other businesses to participate, too. I'm planning to offer a discount for newcomer-owned and run businesses participating in the convention. The more businesses we get in the project, the better prices we can offer.

We're getting a little bit more well known! [Smiles.] I think I can help with that. I know quite a lot of people in quite a lot of businesses!

I'd love to help out. I was actually coming up with a new design for a safer car-like thing, it'd be really cool to show the public it.

Alright. I'll be giving you some time to demonstrate during the convention. Are you alright with public demos? Or would you like me to assign someone to help you-- Minako, perhaps?

I'm okay, but I'd like to have someone to help. It's a lot to show off, and someone else who could help me out with moving it and showing off the pieces, or... me showing off the pieces while they talk? I'd love help.

That's fantastic! Can I meet with the party within the week to discuss the plans for the event?

Of course. We have a scheduled meeting on Thursday, around noon, if that would work for you? Otherwise we'll need to find a different time, but that is when I can guarantee we'll all be there.

There is something else I'd like to discuss with you, as well.

You are going to help, Danny. We'll be stopping operations at the office and showroom during the convention so we can focus all our energies on it.

And I think you'll do perfectly as the manager for our company's booth. I'll be too busy handling the whole convention, so I will truly need your help.

Really? Wow. Sounds like a big responsibility. What do I have to do as manager of the booth?
